Cheryl White is a Hampton Roads native and Executive Director of the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a BA in Art History in 2003 and a MA in Humanities in 2006. Her master’s thesis included the successful nomination of the Norfolk Botanical Garden to the National Register of Historic Places. Cheryl has over ten years of work experience at some of the area’s most prominent art institutions including the Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries, Chrysler Museum of Art, Suffolk Art Gallery and Glass Wheel Studio. An ardent supporter of historic preservation and public art, Cheryl also chairs the Public Art Committee for the NEON Arts District.
